BUILT TO FIT YOUR STYLE

What kind of player are you?

Contriver founder, Brett Bailey, does an in-depth consultation with each client before the build begins. Whatever your genre, we deliver the exact structure and sound you are looking for.

What style of music do you play?

It starts here.  From heavily technical progressive metal players to more mainstream rock guitarists and crowd pleasures mastering the Nashville sound, your guitar will be built to do what you need it to - and more.

Looking for a Fender/Gibson knock off?

We all like the classic designs and some companies make a living ripping those off - we do not.  In the past decade, Contriver has torn down the "standard" and rebuilt it with designs that marry unique wood and high-end electronics to create what we believe is the perfect instrument.

Contriver does not make stock guitars

Contrivers are built one at a time, from scratch.  No stock bodies, no stock electronics and there is a reason behind every Contriver design and detail.   Nothing in the process is left to chance and no detail has been approved without being thought through and tested.

We do your homework
We know what various woods sound like and we understand a guitar that looks great does not mean it sounds great.  Brett will ask what you hope to achieve tonally, feel-wise, playing-wise, and then work with you to build the guitar that exceeds your expectations.  As a guide, his focus on wood, design and electronics will get you where you need to be.

Maximize your investment to get your sound
We'll work within your budget but also ensure that important, minor details are not overlooked.  You'll get the best electronics/materials possible so that your guitar is exactly how you want it.

It's 100% yours.
No two Contriver guitars are exactly alike.  Yours will be yours and not one of many.   We're proud to deliver a masterpiece that is destined to become an heirloom.  It's why we are in this business.
