underlying basis for structure guided by design and function

Foundation Series

Built on the same core.

Tuned for different response.

Produced in consistent, small-batch runs of two.

If your preferred configuration isn’t available, reach out and we’ll add it to the upcoming build queue.

Each instrument ships professionally set up, and ready to play.

View Available

Each Foundation Series option shares the same construction. The difference is how the instrument responds under the hands of the player.

Important Context

No material listed here is intended to “add tone”
Each option exists to maintain mechanical balance within a defined geometric system.

If a material choice would require post-build correction, it is not used.

Headstock & Nut System

A modern evolution of the flat Fender-style reverse headstock.

Compact and retainer-free.

Graduated break angles allow the nut to participate more uniformly in the system.

As string tension rises, angles relax, creating a smooth, balanced feel from treble to bass while improving overall playability.

The angles and downforce have been precisely calculated around a fixed-tension system.

The nut acts as a stable bearing surface, optimizing string break and contact for consistent response and controlled energy transfer.

How They're Different

Foundation – Bloom

Body System
Walnut top over Northern Ash introduces moderate surface damping over a stable core.
This combination slightly slows energy return without reducing structural integrity.

Fretboard
Figured Chechen adds controlled compliance at the string interface, reducing initial transient sharpness compared to ebony.

Mechanical Behavior
Energy disperses more gradually through the system, producing a softer onset and smoother note development without loss of control.

Feel
More forgiving under the hands, with a relaxed attack and progressive response.

Typical Weight
~7–7.5 lbs

Foundation – Stasis

Body System
Poplar burl over Mahogany increases overall damping while maintaining a strong fundamental.
The system stores energy efficiently and releases it evenly.

Fretboard
Ebony increases surface stiffness, tightening attack and preventing excessive low-mid spread from the mahogany core.

Mechanical Behavior
Notes initiate cleanly, sustain evenly, and remain controlled throughout their decay.

Feel
Firm but elastic — stable under load, responsive to dynamics.

Typical Weight
~6.5–7 lbs

Foundation – Edge

Body System
Ash over Roasted Ash creates a highly stiff structure with fast energy return and minimal damping.

Fretboard

Ebony reinforces surface rigidity, maximizing transient speed and note separation.

Mechanical Behavior

Energy is reflected quickly through the system with minimal loss, emphasizing immediacy and precision.

Feel

Tight, direct, and highly responsive — exposes technique clearly.

Typical Weight
~6.5–7 lbs

Body Shapes

Signature

Signature

Signature

A modernized Strat-inspired shape, designed for maximum comfort and playability.

The treble horn swoops away from the body, giving easier access to the upper frets while maintaining a balanced, resonant feel.

Echo

Signature

Signature

A familiar Strat/RG-inspired silhouette that blends classic ergonomics with modern refinements.

The body proportions and horn placement make it instantly recognizable, providing a balanced feel with smooth upper-fret access and a versatile response.

Still Deciding?

Choose Bloom

for a musical, forgiving, and expressive feel.

Choose Stasis

for warmth with control and definition.

Choose Edge

for precision, speed, and clarity.

Pricing & Availability

Foundation Series instruments are predefined systems built for consistent, predictable performance.

Customization is limited to options that refine feel without altering the platform’s mechanical behavior.
