Contriver Guitars is intentionally small.

Instruments are designed, engineered, and built end-to-end in-house. 

That approach prioritizes continuity, accountability, and long-term consistency over scale.

At this time, we are not actively hiring.

That said, we believe it’s worth being clear about how work is approached here.

Building at this level requires overlapping skills across design, engineering, digital manufacturing, hand work, finishing, and setup. 

Any role that meaningfully contributes to that process would carry real responsibility and would be structured accordingly.

In compensation, authority, and scope.

We don’t separate decision-making from execution, and we don’t rely on interchangeable labor to carry institutional knowledge. 

The goal is sustainability

For the instruments, the process, and the person doing the work.
